It is typical for conventional SITA testing (assuming) two tests per year, with standard values of sensitivity = 0.8 and specificity = 0.95) to take 2 two years to differentiate two patients with rates of loss of 2 dB/year and 0 dB/year. With three at-home VVP-10 tests separated by 3 months VVP can differentiate the two patients in just 6 months, letting you know if they are progressing or if their vision is stable.
